Accounting Cost Analyst

HF Foods Group is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Cost Analyst to play a key role in analyzing and controlling costs within the organization. This position involves detailed cost analysis, process improvement, and reporting to ensure the company operates efficiently while maintaining profitability. The ideal candidate will partner closely with distribution centers, production teams, and finance departments to optimize cost management and align financial practices with corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Cost Analysis

• Analyze product, production, and operational costs to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Monitor cost variances and recommend corrective actions to management.
• Conduct margin analysis to support pricing strategies and business decisions.
  
  

Reporting and Forecasting

• Prepare cost analysis reports, including cost of goods sold (COGS), manufacturing variances, and overhead allocations.
• Develop and maintain cost forecasting models to predict future cost trends.
• Provide detailed reporting on inventory valuation and cost performance metrics.
  
  

Budgeting and Financial Planning

• Assist in the preparation and management of budgets related to production and operational costs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and alignment with financial goals.
  
  

Process Improvement

• Identify inefficiencies in cost accounting processes and implement solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Recommend and support implementation of tools and systems for cost management.
  
  

Compliance and Auditing

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support internal and external audits related to cost and inventory controls.
  
  

Presentation

• Assist in preparation of BOD deck and other presentations.
  
  

Required Skills And Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost accounting, financial analysis, or a similar role.
• Experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in financial systems and software (e.g., SAP, WorkDay, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and precision.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Certifications (Preferred): CPA, CMA, or related certification.
