Description
- Plans assembly procedures while following specifications.
- Removes small quantities of metal to clean parts or to produce close fit between parts.
- Drills, taps or reams holes.
- Aligns components and bolts, screws or rivets them together.
- Installs moving parts such as shafts, levers or bearings and works them to test free movement.
- Bends and installs pipe for hydraulic systems.
- Aligns and meshes gears in gearbox to assemble system of gears.
- Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.
- Use of overhead crane, forklift, boiler unit, water test equipment and hydraulic tools.
- Uses air and electric equipment, solvents, painting supplies and welding equipment.
- Occasional travel as needed to assist EFS with installation and other repairs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Enrollment in a technical degree program.
- Demonstrate a strong desire to learn.
- Ability to effectively communicate, present information and answer questions clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external customers.
- Ability to analyze data or information by identifying the underlying principles, reasons or facts of information and using logic to address work-related issues and problems.
- Ability to organize, multi-task, plan, set priorities and exercise good judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of HFRM.
- Demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.
