Description
The Intern - Purchasing will help maintain operations by purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies through negotiations with approved vendors.
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
- Determine purchasing requirements by reviewing inventories and purchase requests.
- Obtain quotes by forwarding requirements to supplier.
- Ensure materials, equipment, and supplies availability by tracking and expediting delivery.
- Maintain historical records by filing and retrieving purchasing documents.
- Regular communication with outside resources using phone and email.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
