We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our 1st shift team here in Huntingdon, TN. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and distribution processes. If you have experience in order fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse management, along with data entry and customer service experience is also a key ingredient for this position and we would love to hear from you.
Hours and pay:
-1st shift 6:00am-2:00pm Monday-Friday (Some overtime as needed)
-Pay range varies on experience and shift $17.50/hour
Responsibilities:
- Inspect shipments for damages or defects and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Unload, unpack, and stock received items in designated storage areas
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling items according to customer orders
- Utilize warehouse management system (WMS) to track inventory levels and update stock records
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment to move items within the warehouse
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
- Work directly with Truckers and their paperwork (B.O.L's)
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and reconciling discrepancies
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of order fulfillment processes and shipping/receiving procedures
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment
- Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking purposes
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members across different departments
