Essential Responsibilities:
Junior CAD Designers:
- Assist in the creation of 2D drawings and 3D models based on specifications and sketches.
- Work under supervision to ensure designs adhere to industry standards and project requirements.
- Update and revise existing CAD drawings as per project needs.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and senior designers to interpret design concepts.
- Maintain organized CAD files and documentation for ongoing projects.
- Ensure compliance with company and regulatory guidelines in design execution.
Senior CAD Designers:
- Lead complex design projects, ensuring high-quality and efficient drafting.
- Develop detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models with precision and accuracy.
- Optimize designs for manufacturability, sustainability, and cost-efficiency.
- Conduct design reviews, simulations, and feasibility studies to assess functionality.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, reviewing their work for accuracy.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align designs with project goals.
- Stay up to date with CAD software advancements and suggest improvements in workflows.
Qualifications:
Junior CAD Designers:
- 0-3 years of experience in CAD design, drafting, or related fields.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or other CAD software.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Design, or a related field (or relevant certification).
Senior CAD Designers:
- 5 years of professional experience in CAD design, drafting, or modeling.
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, CATIA, or similar software.
- Deep understanding of industry standards, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Experience in leading projects and mentoring junior designers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize designs for manufacturability.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred.
- Additional certifications in CAD software or design principles are a plus.
Preferred Skills (for both levels):
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) tools.
- Experience in 3D printing, CNC machining, or prototyping.
- Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and ISO drafting standards.
