What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at HG External?
Under limited supervision, the Maintenance Supervisor assists the Director of Buildings & Grounds in overseeing the work of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance staff to support our vision of maintaining the appearance and preservation of our community. Work involves scheduling, directing and participating in daily in specialized maintenance and repairs to facility, reviewing and inspecting the work of subordinate personnel to ensure effective and efficient performance of duties, and enforcing safety requirements. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the physical environment of the community. This position will assign, assist and supervise the day-to-day functions of maintenance personnel and interpret department policies and procedures as well as interface with resident and resident families regarding maintenance problems and any other information as requested. As a representative and team member of environmental services department, this position is expected to present oneself in a manner that reflects professionalism and ensures resident satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Education – High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
- Experience/Training – Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance trade fields. Minimum of 3 years prior supervisory experience; or any equivalent combinations of training and experience which provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations – Requires possession of a Valid Drivers License.

- Apartment maintenance
- Experience with WorxHub
- Knowledge of HVAC / Chillers, and boilers
