Overview :
HGA's Digital Practice Group is seeking a BIM Coordinator / BIM Lead to join our Strategic Projects Team. This individual will assist project teams in the implementation, and development of BIM and related workflows throughout our practice. The role provides on-going user support, troubleshooting, and content creation / development on assigned projects. The individual will be a part of DPG's Strategic Projects team providing the necessary guidance, training, and support in implementing HGA's BIM workflows and any client-specific BIM requirements.
The individual will engage with project teams and BIM coordination representatives across the firm. In addition, the individual may also serve as a production coordinator and participate directly in the production of the Architectural, Structural and MEP models on active projects.
The role will support the firm's BIM workflows by providing on-going training, user support, troubleshooting, and content creation / development to project teams.
Experience with BIM on healthcare, science / technology, higher education, corporate and government building types is an asset. Advanced knowledge and use of Revit, Navisworks, and intermediate knowledge and use of Dynamo, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office products are needed. A demonstrated understanding of project workflows from design to construction administration, building from knowledge of industry standards, workflows and data formats is helpful.
This position will be in one of our offices and will involve occasional travel to other HGA offices.
In this role you will :
Assist with BIM coordination and BIM management responsibilities on key projects
- Assist with BIM strategic direction and develop technical plans, protocols and workflows for continued implementation
- Provide continuing quality assurance with project teams to maintain BIM quality and standards, ensure adherence to BIM plans and firm-wide modeling and information standards and maintain continuity of information across multiple applications
- Provide general setup, configuration and customization of standard design and production applications
- Assist in training and provides technical support for HGA staff, both one-on-one and in group class setting
- Maintain and update current HGA standards, documentation, templates and content
- Handle customization, trouble shooting and product testing
- Set up 3D models, often using design models or drawings developed by other team members as a guide.
- Develop project specific families to add definition to Revit models.
- Maintain and manage model health for smooth operation / performance of the models.
- Troubleshoot Revit, Navisworks, and Rhino user issues.
- Ensure adherence to BIM execution plans and firm-wide modeling and information standards.
- Communicate / coordinate BIM related workflows with project team.
- Coordinate with BIM leads in other disciplines and external project teams.
- Maintain continuity of information across multiple digital design applications.

The pay range listed aligns to the geography of the office for which this position is posted. Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and / or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and success sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs. Salary Range : $75,600 - $130,200
