COMPANY BACKGROUND
HGS Engineering, Inc. is a professional services consulting firm serving both the federal government and private clients. HGS provides comprehensive environmental, engineering, health/safety, emergency management, and information technology support to the government and private clients.
This position is eligible for vacation after one year of service; sick leave after the 90-day waiting period, and a health and welfare benefit payable on each paycheck.
MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Ability to handle physical workload to include lifting up to 50 pounds
DESCRIPTION
As a Janitor, you will provide janitorial/custodial services for government buildings located in Kentucky. including the following tasks:
- Adhering to cleaning schedules (daily, weekly, monthly, and/or yearly) for identified buildings, to include bathrooms, common areas, offices, outside perimeter areas, etc.
- Keeping assigned work areas neat and clean.
- Maintaining working condition of cleaning equipment
- Performing other duties as assigned

- Space Cleaning
- Emptying Waste & Recycling Containers
- Interior & Exterior Window Cleaning
- Window Blinds Cleaning
- Sweeping/Dust Mopping
- Vacuuming Carpets & Rugs
- Cleaning Walk-off Mats
- Spray Cleaning & Buffing
- Damp Mopping
- Stripping & Rewaxing
- Restroom Cleaning – Includes filling up supplies
AVAILABLE SHIFT(S)
- Monday-Friday, 6:00 pm-10:00 pm
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a US Citizen or alien legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must pass a background screening and pre-employment drug test
- No teleworking options
