Purpose of the job
The Senior Account Manager will have the responsibility for managing the day to day relationship of a key HH Global client. Managing a significant throughput of projects and campaigns in order to deliver against an agreed scope of works. The role will have overall responsibility for the outcome of all projects they are responsible for, and interpreting client requirements and taking briefs to deliver ensure campaigns are developed and delivered on time and against client operational, commercial, environmental and quality requirements.
You will be responsible for maintaining an excellent standard of communication with existing clients and developing relationships with new clients. Strong Client facing and presentation skills are essential, as is a strategic brain and the ability to problem solve and think outside the box.
This role has Line Management responsibility, you will be responsible for providing coaching and development to your team.
Key Responsibilities
Inputting into and supporting the delivery of the Account Development Plan
Be regarded by the client as an account handling expert who provides support and counsel.
Be confident in discussing and challenging clients on briefs and objectives
Where required, work seamlessly with the client creative and strategy teams to provide value added input to client meetings and discussions
Be able to predict and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring relevant team members are fully involved and aware
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the client’s business and actively seek opportunities for further account development
Ability to identify opportunities and actively convert these into briefs and revenue
Taking client briefs and pro-actively suggesting alternative solutions to the client – adding value, up selling and cross selling where possible
Working to ensure that the client has confidence the project and campaigns will meet or exceed their expectations
Monitoring and controlling the project schedule, immediately communicating to the client any changes or delays
Work closely with the selected supplier partners ensuring timelines and quality are being followed at all times
Engage senior management for early alerts of risks to client satisfaction and income, and propose solutions
Participation in supporting and leading client workshops and quarterly business reviews.
Play a role on pitch proposals and delivery
Lead and motivate those working with and for you, including line management and support your teams’ development
Ensure your team is clear as to the financial goals for the year and the plans for achieving them
Ownership of client account financial targets, turnover and profitability
Be able to maintain and drive the WIP, budgeting and forecasting process
Produce detailed estimates, even for new offerings
Work within operational best practices ensuring complete compliance always on the projects.

Knowledge, Skills Experience
3-5 years’ experience helping to shape clients’ brands strategic or tactical plans
Good people management and motivation skills (both internally and externally) as well as a proven track record of building lasting relationships with clients
Great presentation skills and ability to drive pitch success
Digitally savvy and a willingness to find new and exciting ways to communicate
Client focussed with excellent client facing skills
A positive and proactive personality with a genuine enjoyment of client contact and teamwork
Quality conscious with excellent attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a high energy environment and proven experience of meeting/exceeding timelines
Demonstrate professionalism to clients, colleagues and suppliers
Commercial business drive, determination to achieve excellence
Commercial business knowledge
