Primary Responsibilities/Requirements:
Front Desk Registration Responsibilities:
- Registration of patient demographics
- Scan all documents associated with registration completion into patient charts
- Verifying insurance
- Answering phones, including scheduling appointments
- Proficiency in operating systems
- Assist other offices with coverage issues when needed
- Must have motivation
- Must possess a pleasant, friendly demeanor, with the ability to work independently
- Possess the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians, and co-workers
- Ability to multi-task in a busy environment
- Any other tasks as assigned
Medical Assistant/X-ray Responsibilities:
- Provide coverage for clinical teams as needed
- Perform general nursing duties
- Perform x-rays
- Bring patients back to exam rooms and triage patients
- Fitting braces
- Locate any necessary imaging, test results, or reports for upcoming appointments
- Prepare exam rooms, restock supplies for the clinic, power up computers, etc.
- Prepare for the clinic by printing out patient information as requested by the physician
- Assist other team members as needed
- Assist with phone messages
- MRI/CT scheduling/precerting
- Prepare for clinics by printing out progress notes and test results
- Obtain the physician's signature on miscellaneous forms
- Assist with in-office procedures
- Provide coverage for other clinical teams as needed
- Friendly and Professional patient communication when answering and returning patient phone calls, providing various forms of patient education and handouts, escorting patients to and from exam rooms, appointment/surgery reminder calls, responding to and charting patient messages, and communicating test results to patients with direction from the physician.
DME Fitter Responsibilities/Requirements:
- Chart entry of required documentation
- Provide appropriate bracing services by fitting patient with prescribed DME device
- Checks insurance benefits and pre-authorizations required by insurance companies
- Educates patients regarding their individual product’s pricing, insurance coverage and patient financial responsibility.
- Maintains a thorough working knowledge of the DME product library. Able to answer provider and patient questions completely.
- Responds to pre and post-surgical requests for DME products promptly and effectively
- Completes appropriate “paperwork” related to DME product such as letters of medical necessity, requests from insurance companies.
- Ensures that all products that are dispensed are accounted for
- Obtains patient signatures on ABN forms and merchandise receipt forms, as appropriate and fills all appropriate boxes on the encounter.
- Ensures appropriate and detailed accounting of merchandise and credits.
- Maintains appropriate inventory levels for DME products
- Follows up on any missing demographic or billing information necessary for completing accurate processing of charges.
- Other duties as assigned or are necessary to ensure the success of the DME program

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers skillfully

- Must readily adapt to frequent treatment schedule changes
