Overview
The CFO is responsible for all financial aspects for Marshall Medical Centers (a part of the Huntsville Health System) and associated entities to include oversight of a $150 million operating budget. The CFO must establish and maintain appropriate financial policies and strategies, accurate and timely financial reporting, establishment of budgets, and approval of capital expenditures. This leader instills financial stewardship and understanding within Directors and Managers. He/she must work closely with the CEO, hospital Administrators and Board of Directors to set and reach financial goals and provide financial guidance. He/she must be forward thinking with an excellent work ethic and communication style reflective of our Culture of Excellence and maintain our focus of improving the lives of those we serve.
Minimum Qualifications for this position:• BA degree in Finance, Accounting or closely related field from a credible institution• 5 years health care finance experience• Financial management and supervisory experience in a health care setting
Preferred Qualifications:• MA degree in Finance, Accounting or closely related field from a credible institution• Prior experience as a CFO or similar position• CPA certification
