Overview

Job Summary:  

Responsible for overseeing hospital volunteers and providing many hospitality and public relations functions. Responsible for recruiting adult, teen, and chaplain volunteers.  Responsible for volunteer schedule and coordinating programs, special events and some services for seniors. Also responsible for staffing and day to day operations of hospital gift shop.  Must have excellent interpersonal skills and communications skills – including public speaking.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

1.     Coordinates the Adult Volunteers Program including recruiting, onboarding and managing schedule.  Adult Volunteers include greeters, knitters, lifeline installers, special projects and gift shop staff.

2.     Coordinates the TEEN Ambassador Program including recruiting, interviewing, onboarding and managing schedule of Teen Ambassadors.

3.     Coordinates Volunteer Chaplain Program including recruiting, onboarding and managing call schedule of Chaplain Volunteers.

4.     Maintains excellent relationships with churches, schools and other partner organizations.

5.     Maintains accurate records for volunteer hours. 

6.     Responsible for Gift Shop staffing and daily transaction reconciliation. 

7.     Responsible for special events/recognition events for all volunteer groups.

8.     Works with Marketing on information books at greeting stations, newsletters and other communications for volunteer groups.

9.     Assists with all Foundation functions and special events as needed.

      10.   Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher

Education: High School Diploma – some college preferred.

Experience: Administrative experience preferred
