Opportunity: Supervisor, Sales & Use Tax
Supervises the Sales & Use Tax accountant team; oversee and reviews the tax reconciliation processes; enforce the processes and policies of the Sales & Use Tax department in a timely, accurate manner in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.

Essential Job Functions
- Lead the training of new team members
- Work collaboratively with other departments and individuals at the hotels to ensure accurate taxability of taxable/non-taxable revenue
- Work collaboratively with other departments and individuals at the hotels to identify and address causes of tax discrepancies
- Own the reconciliation process
- Create new and/or maintain existing excel reconciliations, tracking sheets, etc. to ensure accurate and timely filings
- Review and approve ACH and check requests for tax payments while reconciling the balance sheet accounts
- Review and post payment journal entries.
- Perform monthly audits on select properties to ensure compliance in reporting exempt revenue
- Perform monthly, quarterly, annual Corporate tax returns
- Assist with state and local tax audits
- Assist with property transitions and the set up in our internal systems
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
- Practice safe work habits to ensure safety.
- Perform other duties as requested by management.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred.
- Previous accounting experience or equivalent training required.
- Highly Proficient in using Excel.
- Knowledge of PMS/accounting systems preferred.

- Work schedule varies and may include occasionally working on holidays, weekends.
