2nd Shift Sawmill Lumber Stacker & Mill General Laborer

HHP Inc is seeking a dedicated and hardworking 2nd Shift Lumber Stacker & Mill General Laborer to join our team at our Henniker, New Hampshire Sawmill Operation. Our facility, conveniently located just off RT. 202 & 89, includes a hardwood sawmill, pallet shop, and paper-quality chipping plant. Responsibilities

• Stack lumber according to specific criteria, ensuring top, bottom, and outside boards are the longest.
• Ensure all edges are free of knots, wane, writing, and other defects.
• Build bundles that are square and finish with a neat top layer.
• Push out finished bundles for forklift removal and ensure tags are on finished packs of lumber.
• Strap packs/bundles of lumber using a strapping device.
• Maintain a clean and organized stacker area, free of trash and debris.
• Foster good working relations with all employees and management.
• Demonstrate a positive work attitude and excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Comply with all safety guidelines and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Capability to work on feet for extended periods, including bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, standing, and walking.
• Strong work ethic and good communication skills.
• Familiarity with operating machinery in a production process.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Reliable transportation.
• Pre-Employment Physical required.

Compensation

$18.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience. Full-time, Monday through Thursday: 3PM to 2AM and Friday: 3PM to 2AM (subject to change). 40 to 50 hours per week with overtime available.
