Culinary Supervisor

  • Wage: $17.00-$19.00/hour, based on experience
  • Full-time position available
  • Day/Evening/Night shifts available

  • Location: Elim Park Baptist Home

We’re looking for friendly, compassionate, team players to join our culinary team!

Support the culinary director to lead the food and nutrition team at a hospital. Ensure patient meals are accurate and are delivered in a timely fashion. Provide excellent customer service to ensure every patient is satisfied with their meal.

Responsibilities

  • Supervisor team members to ensure smooth operations of the criteria, doctor’s dining, catering, and/or patient meals
  • Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service for all patients, staff, and visitors
  • Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures
  • Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
  • Demonstrates courteous and considerate manner to all guests.
  • Assists in maintaining the dining room in a sanitary and orderly manner.
  • Assists in evaluating and executing priorities for the efficient running of the dining room.
  • Assists in training and monitoring of all staff.
  • Assists planning, set-up and execution all catering functions
  • Attends scheduled meetings and in-services.
  • Adheres to unit standards of dress.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Open Interviews in the Cafeteria on Wednesdays & Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM - ask for the Retail Dining Manager or Director Of Culinary

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform
  • Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
  • Preferred: 1 year of supervisor experience (cook, line cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, culinary operations, restaurants, supervisor, dietary department, foodservice, hourly manager, healthcare)

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to operate equipment necessary to perform essential functions of the job
