Dietary Ambassador
- Wage: $12-14/hour, based on experience

Job Description
The main objective of the Ambassador role is to deliver meals, assist in patient menu selection, and cater to patient needs in a timely fashion. In addition, the Ambassador acts as the representative of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
Come Interview in person:
- We are doing Interviews on site in the Cafe!
- Monday-Friday at 9am, and 2pm
Mealtime Preparation
- Prepares all cold/hot items and condiments for meal times according to quantities as written on the “Daily Production List.”
- Focuses on presentation of patient trays—including meal accuracy and meal temperature—and ensures timely tray delivery.
- Is responsible for patient satisfaction during the shift for the assigned floors.
Patient Menu Selection
- Delivers and collects patient menus in a timely manner.
- Keeps hot food hot and cold food cold during meal delivery.
- Is responsible for meal accuracy and diet appropriateness while delivering patient trays.
- Ensures all patients’ needs are catered to during the shift in between meal times.
- Adheres to facility’s Emergency Preparedness Program, to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards, as well as other mandatory programs in the facility as appropriate.
Organization
- Organizes job materials effectively throughout the day.
- Prioritizes day appropriately according to assigned floor.
Teamwork
- Assists other team members when necessary and asks for help when necessary.
- Assists management in any way to help the department operate efficiently.
Communication
- Effectively communicates product and equipment issues to management in a timely manner.
Job Specifications
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a company approved uniform.
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Capable of prolonged standing and walking continuously, frequent stooping, and bending and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Education: At minimum, a GED or high-school degree.
