Our Group is also responsible for managing the Hawaii Island Family Medicine Residency program that trains new family medicine physicians.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting interventional radiologists in performing minimally invasive procedures, such as angioplasty, stent placement, biopsies, or catheter placements.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic imaging (e.g., CT, MRI, ultrasound, X-rays).
- Managing pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care for patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures
- Handling patient sedation, anesthesia, and monitoring during procedures
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
- Injection, exchange and removal of drainage catheters to include GU and GI drains.
- Imaging guided thoracentesis and paracentesis.
- Perform venography and assist with arteriography.
- Placement, repositioning and removal of tunneled and non-tunneled catheters including implanted ports.
- Perform lumbar puncture and myelography under imaging guidance.
- Perform biopsy under imaging guidance to include thyroid and lymph node.
- Perform arthrocentesis and joint injections under imaging guidance.
- Placement of small bore chest tubes under imaging guidance.
- Perform fluoroscopic GI studies.
- May be required to take evening, weekend and holiday call based upon company needs.
