Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, administer and maintain an educational curriculum and environment conducive to educating residents in each of the ACGME competency areas.
- Oversee and ensure the quality of didactic and clinical education and be accountable for quality resident education.
- Recruit, develop, mentor, and evaluate residents as well as program faculty
- Prepare and submit all information required and requested by the ACGME, including the program information forms and annual program resident updates to the ADS, and ensure that the information submitted is accurate and complete.
- Practice full-spectrum Family Medicine (OB surgical optional) including outpatient and inpatient clinical services
- Fully utilize POCUS and comfortable teaching these skills
- Demonstrate competency in inpatient care and outpatient care, manage outpatient panel, embrace resident advisor role
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations.
- Document patient encounters, treatment plans, and follow-up recommendations accurately and timely in the electronic health record system.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs, preferences, and medical history.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
Education Requirements:
- MD or DO
- BC/BE in specialty
- Must meet ACGME minimum requirements for Residency Program Director position
- 3 years experience with eduction and/or leadership
