IT Specialist III-IV (Network Specialist) | Regional End User Support
POSITION SUMMARY
- Network Configuration and Deployment :
Configure and deploy network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless controllers.
Monitor network performance and ensure network systems operate reliably and efficiently.
Diagnose and resolve network issues related to both wired and wireless networks.
Oversee local area network (LAN) operations and ensure optimal performance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements. Please note that unless specifically indicated, the required education and experience may not be gained concurrently. In addition, qualifying work experience is credited based on a 40-hour workweek.
Education :
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four (4) year college or university.
Excess experience of the types and quality described below or any administrative, professional, analytical, technical, or other responsible work which provided knowledge, skills and abilities comparable to those acquired in four (4) years of successful study while completing a college or university curriculum leading to a baccalaureate degree may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

Specialized Experience :
Specialized Experience : Progressively responsible work experience in information technology which involved the systems analysis, design, programming, security and access management, database design and management, consulting, and / or installing and maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, and web or network infrastructure equipment. The work must have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of information technology principles, methods, techniques and practices; computer hardware, software and peripheral equipment; and personal computer, server, mini and / or mainframe operating systems.

Possession of the required number of years of experience will not in itself be accepted as proof of qualification for a position. Pre-Employment Health Requirements
Offers of employment will be contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment examination, which includes a drug screen and other regulatory medical requirements such as, but not limited to, a tuberculosis (TB) screen. The cost for drug screening and blood draw for QuantiFERON and Titers, shall be borne by the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation.
