What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintainance V position at Hi-lex Controls Inc?
Perform duties to maintain and repair a variety of building and plant equipment and lead engineering projects. Aid in equipment lists in all equipment installation, and requested documentation on all equipment. Installation of electrical equipment per electric codes. Coordinate, lead and track daily activities and projects of the maintenance personnel via two-way radio and/or work tickets. Reports any issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assemble and install equipment per project work order for entire plant.
- Perform electrical hard wiring per electrical blueprint.
- Install P.L.C. programs per project work orders per Electrical Engineers instruction.
- Trouble shoots and repairs equipment, electrical and mechanical.
- Perform essential functions of Maintenance S, A, B and other duties as assigned.
- Back up for Maintenance Supervisor.
- Directs day to day activities of maintenance staff on designated shift based on assigned priorities
- Directs and tracks activities on projects and reports to Maintenance Supervisor.
- Communicates from shift to shift with other shift SPs
- Follows and enforces all safety rules and maintenance 5-s.
Specialized Training, Skills, Abilities, Experience:
- Ability to read blueprints and Pneumatical/Electrical/Wiring/P.L.C. diagrams.
- Understanding of Mechanical/Pneumatics/Electronic devices/Mechanisms.
- Must be good at multitasking.
- Must be able to effectively communicate via two-way radio across all departments.
- 3 to 5 years experience in Maintenance S or Electrical Engineering or equivalent field preferred.
- Must have leadership skills and be able to lead a group of maintenance personnel or contractors.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions:
- Factory environment with noise from manufacturing equipment. Exposure to moving equipment, parts and electrical shock, also exposed to burns/welding/cutting.
- Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
- Sometimes carries or moves objects up to 50 pounds.
- Daily lifts, lifts carries or moves objects up to 25 pounds.
