ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Perform work in safe manner, following all safety rules.
- Assure component parts and finished assembly component with all quality checks required by the stations.
- Assure that component parts used are those required for the part that is being assembled.
- Attach components in prescribed order to assemble product.
- Align, fit and secure components, using hand operations and fastening techniques for bench word.
- Assist all other operators on line.
- Perform the work of all stations on rotating basis as required by the company.
- Move parts from containers on the floor or other location to the containers in the work area.
- Sort and rework components on the assembly line or other locations to meet the quality requirements.
- Follows all safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
SPECIALIZED TRAINING, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE:
- Use hand tools, staple gun, hand pallet jack, wrapping machine, scale, computer and printer
- Office environment with noise from computer peripherals such as printers and disk drives.
- Also works in factory environment with noise from manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving equipment, parts and electrical shock. Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
- Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects – weighing up to 35 pounds. Average weight limit is 3-5 pounds.
