MATERIAL CONTROL CLERK
ON SITE - 2ND SHIFT
DEPARTMENT: Operations
REPORTS TO: Material Control Supervisor
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
SUMMARY
This position reports to the Material Control Supervisor and is responsible for carry out all duties and responsibilities as required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the direction of the Material Control Supervisor, duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- Assist the Material Control Supervisor in maintaining inventory to ensure company delivery schedule commitments.
- Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisor to determine raw material and/or braze tape material requirements.
- Identify overdue raw material or braze tape, and track material specifications released to the shop and customers.
- Visually examine raw material and braze tape for damage before delivery to production.
- Verify raw material or braze tape heat numbers for acceptance of the material, including the inspection of certificates to meet specification requirements.
- Release any raw material or braze tape to a traveler and list the applicable heat numbers of the appropriate material certifications.
- Move raw material or braze tape from the inventory area to the production staging areas.
- Enter raw material and braze tape data into the Material Receiving Log using the ERP System
- Perform dimensional inspection of all raw material and braze tape received from a supplier to ensure that the material will meet P.O. requirements.
- Is responsible for raw material and braze tape inventory quantity, including organizing the work area and stock room.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 6 months experience in inventory or material control preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Basic English Comprehension, reading and writing is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Microsoft Office experience required
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to do basic math; ability to perform operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance is required. Ability to read a micrometer, caliper, and/or other precision measuring instruments is required. Must be competent to learn dimensional inspection of aircraft parts.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions; ability to deal with standardized situations is required.
