Job Summary:
The CNC Operator reports to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for adhering to all policies and procedures related to the various parts and equipment they operate. Operators load and unload parts, inspect using precision measuring tools, and communicate changes verbally and in writing.
Essential Duties:
- Operate CNC flat surface and creep feed grinding equipment and other machinery as necessary to produce the required number of correct parts in a timely manner.
- Analyze and interpret Op sheets, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and travelers to produce products that meet or exceed customer specifications.
- Verify conformance of finished workpiece to customer specifications, using precision measuring tools and equipment as necessary.
- Maintain working knowledge of CNC principles, including G and M codes.
- Select, align, and secure fixtures, grinding wheels, and workpieces on machines as necessary to machine parts.
- Analyze and interpret CMM reports and properly offset machine dimensions to meet customer specifications.
- Perform deburring operations to within specified tolerances.
- Document actions by updating control charts, travelers, and reporting labor in the ERP system.
- Perform under AS9100 quality standards and NADCAP accreditation.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- CNC Machining certificate from a Trade School or acceptable work experience in lieu of schooling.
- Must meet the ITAR definition of §120.15 U.S. person.
- Duty-related experience, including operation of flat surface grinders.
- Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, aerospace industry strongly preferred.
- Experience with G & M codes.

Physical Demand Levels:
- Lift, push, and/or pull up to thirty-five pounds regularly.
- Operate overhead crane or other lifting equipment when necessary.
- Stand at least 95% of the scheduled shift.
- Walking or climbing stairs as needed to perform job duties as assigned.
- Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move and set tools, equipment, and materials.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Shift:
Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. This is an hourly position with a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your well-being and success
