Hi-Tek Manufacturing is searching for an experienced Shipping & Receiving Clerk. Hi-Tek is a Drug-Free Workplace and conducts pre-employment drug and background screening and random drug screening.

Reporting to the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk is responsible for preparing records of receipt of incoming material and posts to customers’ open orders. Receiving functions include counting and examining incoming hardware to verify completeness against shipping documents, checking for damaged goods, and keeping records of shortages, exceptions, and damage. The shipping function includes weighing and addressing parcels or crates of merchandise, attaching postage, or attaching bills of lading, and keeping records of goods shipped.

Essential Duties and Tasks :

Issue part to routers and delivers customer parts to the floor for production.

Verifies that the customer part matches the routers assigned to that customer’s job.

On received goods, performs visual inspection, and counts all items received.

Inspects customer parts to verify that the customer parts are not damaged.

Notifies supervisor or planning department when significant discrepancies occur, over-shipments or substitutions have been made.

Uses forklift and pallet jacks to load and unload trucks and to move products throughout the facility.

Use overhead and job crane(s) to assist with heavy lifts.

Maintains a safe and clean work environment by performing daily housekeeping duties.

Uses the Telesis part marker to mark part number, serial number, etc., on the customer’s part.

Moves and organizes raw materials around plant as needed.

Receives and ships all types of products, for internal and external purposes

Arranges for the transportation of all shipments, which are not already designated by the customer.

Enters all quantities and serial numbers of customer-owned parts into the tracking system.

Communicates with customers who request receipt and ship status.

Any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s values

Follows all Hi-Tek policies and procedures

Physical Conditions :

Lift and carry up to 35 pounds

Push and / or pull up to 50 pounds

Stand and walk at least 95% of the scheduled shift

Routinely perform reaching, twisting, bending, and grasping to move parts / packages around

Bend, Crouch, and Reach at least 50% of scheduled shift

Climb up and down off forklift frequently throughout the day

Qualifications, Education and Experience :

Minimum 3 years of shipping & receiving experience in manufacturing setting

High school diploma or GED required

Microsoft Excel experience preferred

Epicor experience preferred

Forklift, pallet jack experience preferred

Must be a United States Citizen, or a US Permanent Resident
