The Foundation Director manages the Foundation department and is responsible for the fundraising and marketing efforts of Hiawatha Homes. The Foundation team consists of three team members – the Foundation Director, Communications Associate, and the Events & Volunteer Coordinator. In this position, the Foundation Director implements a development and fundraising plan to secure philanthropic support that helps fuel programming and special projects. Key responsibilities include managing annual giving, special events, corporate and foundation grants, major giving, and planned giving. In addition to fundraising, this position also increases community awareness of Hiawatha Homes and is the point of contact for media inquiries.
