SUMMARY
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist will provide key support to the procurement function for JD North America. This team is responsible for delivering all new store projects and refurbishments across all group brands. The specialist role is key to supporting the buying and allocation all fixtures, furnishings, and equipment (FF&E), construction materials, and other essential items for JD's expansion across North America. This role is responsible for owning the entire process from ensuring vendors have purchase orders to working on final mile deliveries. You will work actively with many departments in the company to ensure collaboration and timely delivery of goods to support new store construction. To be successful in this position you must be able to work in a very fast paced environment with the ability to drive results and meet timelines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPurchase order management to hit required delivery timeframes for new store construction while reducing overstock.
Active inventory management and forecasting to hit target delivery dates from domestic and international vendors
Coordinates with the warehouse to ensure proper pick and pick of goods for delivery
Manages the warehouse and vendors to resolve any issues with quality, product, inventory, specifications, or other relevant issues.
Supports the Procurement and Allocation manager with all aspects of the allocation and supply process.
Responsible for reporting into business on inventory value, forecasting, out of stock dates, vendor program compliance, and any other assignments by management.
Communicates with other departments with status updates and information for reporting requirements..
Provides key admin and organizational support.
Additional duties and projects as required.
Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESNo supervisory responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience required. At least 2 years' experience in procurement, allocation, buying, construction, or facilities. Previous admin experience is essential.
Great communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills.
Good project management skills in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft / Google suite or equivalent.
Possesses good time management.
Analytical mindset. Good with tracking and items and projects.
Self-starter with ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
Ability to report project status and issues to senior management effectively.
Proven ability to manage multiple objectives, timelines, and projects simultaneously while delivering results
Must be a self-motivated individual
Ability to define problems, establish facts, and ask difficult questions to draw valid conclusions.
Must have laser focused attention to details
Must be able to approach unfamiliar situations and projects with confidence and curiosity
?This position will be require periodic travel to warehouse facilities to work with the warehouse teams on correct pick and pack procedures, labeling, sorting, and other functions to ensure accurate delivery of goods to stores.
