The Analyst, Inventory Accuracy utilizes significant professional judgment to research and resolve complex inventory issues resulting from both full physical inventory counts as well as cycle counts performed using Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. Supports business partners in Asset Protection and Store Operations to timely review and correct inventory discrepancies for both stores and the warehouse. Resolves daily inventory issues submitted from the stores to ensure inventory levels are as accurate as possible and to keep company shrink within the current acceptable range.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Research and correct store submitted issues from the organization's internal ticket system and issues resulting from physical inventory counts to ensure accurate inventory balances for the organization.
- Maintains a thorough understanding of the unit control and financial inventory systems and how those systems affect inventory shrinkage in order to prevent unnecessary financial exposure.
- Monitors inventory adjustment reports to research issues and communicates with the store for resolution if necessary.
- Creates and sends warehouse overage / shortage reports to Asset Protection associates to assist their warehouse transfer research.
- Makes all necessary corrections in a timely manner based on collaboration with Asset Protection.
- Researches transfers as needed to help ensure that in transit balances are reported accurately.
- Identifies and communicates Warehouse Shipments which have aged greater than established thresholds.
- Enters and processes receiver adjustments to help ensure accurate costing of inventory on hand.
- Assists other Inventory Analysts by working with one another to resolve issues and teaching best practices when necessary to help drive efficiencies and cohesion within the department.
- Processes adjustments to the shortage store as needed.
- Monitors various back-office gauges; researches and submits corrections if required in order to help maintain efficient inventory management and support accurate financial reporting.
- Protect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and / or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.
- Measurable Outcomes : Consistent inventory transaction maintenance to prevent large swings in inventory balances, identification, and correction of patterns / behaviors leading to the inaccurate recording of both full physical and cycle count transactions. Ensures physical inventory balances are stated completely and accurately.
