What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping Supervisor - Housing Available position at Hibernation Station?
Assists as directed in controlling financial objectives as set out by the established labor standards for the Housekeeping/Laundry department.
Directs the activities of the Housekeeping/Laundry department, and furnishes daily cleaning to guestrooms and all other areas of the hotel.
Works with GM weekly to build schedule based on needs of hotel.
Communicates all maintenance and repair needs to the appropriate individuals.
Distributes daily workload to room attendants.
Ensures good safety practices of employees and guests throughout the hotel. Assists with proper emergency and security procedures.
Is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, neatness and good repair of all hotel
areas.
Performs detailed inspection of all guestrooms (vacant, checkouts and occupied alike), instructs on necessary corrections and rechecks to make sure corrections have been made.
Assists with cleaning of unassigned rooms as a room attendant prior to performing room inspections of other room attendants.
Provides guestroom status reports to the Front Desk and General Manager.
Advises front desk by telephone of all vacant and ready rooms, as they become available.
Supervises the training and motivation of the housekeeping staff.
Cleans and performs duties of Housekeepers and Laundry Attendants if needed.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Report to General Manager daily.
