Key Responsibilities
The Custodian will be responsible for the following key responsibilities:
Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of school facilities, including buildings, locker rooms, and adjacent grounds areas.
Custodial Activities: Perform routine custodial activities, such as sweeping, mopping, and waxing floors, cleaning classrooms, restrooms, and other facilities, and responding to emergency cleanups.
Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, report safety hazards, and perform minor repairs.
Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with staff and students, participate in major summer cleaning projects, and follow established guidelines and procedures.
The successful candidate will be able to lift 50-75 pounds frequently, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and prior experience in custodial work is preferred.
