Job Summary:
The Egg Packer is responsible for accurately and efficiently packing eggs, ensuring product quality, and labeling boxes correctly. This role operates in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail and adherence to food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, alert, and capable of maintaining productivity and quality in their work area.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Pack eggs quickly and accurately, maintaining the pace of the production line.
- Handle eggs with care to minimize breakage and ensure product quality.
- Check and verify code dates and traceability information on packaging for accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, following good housekeeping practices.
- Communicate any food safety or quality concerns to the supervisor promptly.
- Conduct visual inspections of eggs for any damage, defects, or inconsistencies.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by supervisors or managers to support production needs.
Qualifications
Requirements and Skills:
- Ability to stand for extended periods, up to 8 hours per shift or more.
- Physical capability to lift up to 20 pounds throughout the shift.
- Good hand/finger dexterity and the ability to bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive tasks.
- High attention to detail and alertness in a fast-paced environment.
- Awareness of surroundings and adherence to safety protocols.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, and use hands and fingers throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds regularly.
