Job Summary:
As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from designated locations. Your primary duties will include navigating predetermined routes, ensuring the comfort and safety of passengers, and adhering to traffic regulations. You will also be expected to maintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the shuttle vehicle.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Safely operate shuttle vehicles to transport passengers to and from specified locations.
- Follow designated routes and schedules while maintaining adherence to time constraints.
- Provide exceptional customer service to passengers, including assisting with boarding and disembarking.
- Ensure the safety of passengers by obeying traffic laws, including speed limits and traffic signals.
- Maneuver vehicle safely in various traffic conditions and weather situations.
- Maintain a clean and organized shuttle vehicle interior, including regular cleaning and sanitizing of high-touch surfaces.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on the shuttle vehicle, reporting any issues to management promptly.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and passenger counts.
- Communicate effectively with passengers and colleagues to provide information and address any concerns or inquiries.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and customer service.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Previous experience as a shuttle driver or similar role preferred.
- Class A CDL License with Passengers endorsement is required.
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of local traffic laws and routes.
- Knowledge of defensive driving techniques and the ability to anticipate and avoid potential hazards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods while driving long distances.
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching to load/unload cargo.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working in various weather conditions and temperatures during travel.
