What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of the Richmond Office - Architecture and Design position at Hickok Cole?
This position is for our Richmond, Virginia office.
Are you curious about shaping the future of our field? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment and rise to meet challenges head-on? Are you a self-starter who can work independently, knows when to ask the right questions, and enjoys collaborating with a team? If so, you’ve come to the right place.
Who We Are
Hickok Cole is a mid-sized and forward-focused design practice connecting bold ideas, diverse expertise, and partners with vision to do work that matters – to our clients, our communities, and to us. We serve our clients by specializing in Architecture, Interior Design and Brand Experience. We’re a sociable group who like – and know how – to have fun. We have an amazing studio in Richmond’s Scott’s Addition neighborhood where we create, engage and collaborate.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a dynamic design professional to lead our Richmond office – whether you're an established leader or a rising star ready to take the next big step. You'll guide a close-knit team of a dozen or so architects, designers, and creatives who bring energy, humor, and talent to all that they do.
As the senior face of our Richmond studio, you'll build relationships throughout the community while providing high-level guidance that keeps our projects moving in the right direction. This is a role that combines strategic thinking with hands-on leadership. We are seeking a leader who can amplify our team’s momentum and help to unlock even greater potential in our community and the Southeast region.
