What we are looking for
- Project Architect / Manager / Designer with 8-12 years of experience in multifamily design, although other specialties will be considered
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture
- Is self-starting, energetic, and creative
- Ability to contribute to AND lead a team day to day through the conceptual, schematic, design development, construction documents, specifications, construction administration, and FF&E phases
- Experience creating and managing the daily task assignments, schedule, budget and overall project work plan to meet the project schedule
- Exhibits excellent technical sophistication
- Participates in and leads team discussions on technical and other project related issues
- Resolves complex technical / design issues and provides guidance to team and consultants
- Knowledge of construction best practices, detailing and drawing set production
- Ability to effectively organize, review, and provide quality control for full-scope construction document sets
- Extensive IBC, ADA, BOMA, FHA, and accessibility knowledge with ability to apply information to detailed construction documents
- Excellent Revit and working knowledge of Sketchup, Lumion, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Coordinates and leads all project consultants such as mechanical, electrical, structural, plumbing, civil, landscape and lighting consultants
- Maintains client relationships while multi-tasking / working on multiple projects
- Leads and mentors younger staff
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Valid work permit (USA)
- This position is for our Richmond, Virginia office. 100% remote candidates will not be considered
