Hickory Care is seeking an experienced, dynamic and caring Wound Care Nurse Practitioner (N-P) with expertise in Wound Care for direct hire. The company provides Wound Care Nurse Practitioners to Skilled Nursing homes in Florida to work with the facilities nursing team to improve quality care and reduce re-hospitalizations.
The ideal candidate will be board-certified Wound Care Nurse Practitioner with experience assessing, evaluating, and documenting skin and wound conditions and have an in-depth knowledge of treatment protocols.
The salary for this position is dependent on experience and qualifications. The Wound Care Nurse Practitioner will report to the Regional Clinical Director for the company.
Some Responsibilities :
- Conduct routine check-ups and examinations to assess skin and wound conditions
- Diagnose, treat and manage acute and chronic conditions and develop plans of care
- Implementing orders and treatments
- Evaluating the progress of specialized skin and wound conditions
- Evaluate new admissions
- Document status and care plans and monitors changes
- Notify house physician and family of changes
- Provide Wound Care education to nursing staff
- Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients
