QA TECH: 2ND SHIFT
SUMMARY:
Assigned under the general supervision of the QA Manager to utilize a variety of QA processes, equipment, monitors
The production of wholesome and regulatory compliant finished product. To ensure completeness and accuracy of
Documentation, Safety, Quality, and Service in mind at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in reviewing, HACCP documentation.
- Responsible for collection and preparation of daily finished product samples to send to outside lab.
- Responsible for control of non-conforming product - suspect lab results, processing issues on the assigned production shift. Responsible for the oversight and implementation of Quality assurance programs, policies and procedures.
- Assist in GMPs, SOP and HACCP programs.
- Responsible obtaining documentation of regulatory or program deviations that occur on the assigned shift and providing recommendations to QA Manager.
- Assists with the investigation of customer complaints.
- Responsible for the control and documentation of all foreign object incidents and materials found in process during the assigned production shift.
- Responsible for adhering to USDA regulations.
- Responsible for documentation of sanitation chemical titrations.
- Maintains good morale and positive attitude
- All other Job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Knowledge of GMP's, HAACP, sanitation, process improvement, plant safety programs, and quality assurance. Ability to align performance for success and demonstrate strong people skills. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED. Experience working in the QA preferably and knowledge of the food industry.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with employees and management. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables and in situations where only limited experience exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

- Stand on concrete surfaces, and can be exposed to indoor manufacturing environment with exposure to noise from equipment.

- Must have the ability to work in a refrigerated environment of 35 to 45 degrees F.
- The job is fast paced and the employee will need to have the ability to deal with stress is essential.
Fulltime regular positions that work minimal overtime. Travel is not required for this position.
