Hickory Hill Academy is seeking a warm, experienced, and qualified Assistant Teacher to add to our team of infant - 2 year old teachers!
Hickory Hill Academy is an independent school and traditional preschool serving children ages 12 weeks-8 th grade. Located on a 10 acre farmette, our program offers a variety of enrichment programs including science, art, physical education, music, world languages, and more. During the summer, our program serves hundreds of students for our beloved “Summer on the Farm” program. This role is responsible for supporting the ECE Teachers by helping to create a caring and safe environment for the children and assisting in activities to improve the overall care and quality of education. Assist the Teachers in implementing a quality school age educational program and in developing positive relationships with the children and their parents. Observe and document children’s interest and progress, and relay that information back to Teachers. Implement developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests and needs under the direction of the Teachers.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completed class work towards Associate’s Degree in education or related field of study; completed Associate’s Degree preferred
- 1-2 years of professional education experience
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
- Demonstrated professional demeaner with exemplary verbal and written communication skills
- High energy and the ability to work well with others (staff, children, and parents) and to foster a team environment
- Successful completion of state required background checks and health screening
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficient in Google workspace
