The time commitment for our summer camp is Monday through Friday from June 3, 2025, through August 20, 2025. Candidates may also be considered for a full-time teaching position for the Academic School Year, if interested. College students seeking part-time positions are also encouraged to apply.
Hickory Hill Academy is an independent school and traditional preschool serving children aged 12 weeks through 8th grade. Located on a 10-acre farmette, our summer program offers a variety of enrichment programs including science & nature, art, culinary, gardening, rock band, and MUCH MORE.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead engaging activities and lessons.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment.
- Ensure safety and well-being for all summer campers.
- Communicate with parents and guardians about camper’s progress.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
We are seeking teachers with the following qualifications:
- Completed class work towards bachelor’s degree in education or related field of study.
- Previous experience in teaching or working with children.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt and think creatively.
- Energetic, positive, and fun-loving attitude.
- Successful completion of state required background checks.
- Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficient in Google workspace.
