Type : Contract-Hourly Consultant

Job Title : Engineering Technician I

Location : Hickory, NC

Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Hickory, NC

Pay Rate : Based on experience

Work Hours : M-F 8am-5pm

Education : Associate degree in technical field or equivalent

Description :

The Engineering Technician I is responsible for performing technical tasks related to the inspection, maintenance, and repair of multi-discipline systems. This role involves working closely with engineering and technical teams to ensure systems meet specifications, perform effectively, and comply with safety standards. The technician will conduct inspections, assist with troubleshooting, and support ongoing engineering projects.

Responsibilities :

Perform regular inspections of multi-discipline systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with established standards and specifications.

Support engineering teams with troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues in various systems.

Assist in the maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment as needed.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.

Collaborate with other teams to address issues and implement corrective actions to improve system performance.

Support safety initiatives, adhere to industrial safety protocols, and report health hazards.

Assist with system testing and calibration procedures to ensure optimal performance.

Required Qualifications :

Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience

1-3 years of experience in a multi-disciplinary technician role or similar

Ability to interpret technical documentation (e.g., specifications, design prints, SOPs)

Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards and best practices

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
