About the Role:
- The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Manager is an integral member of the administrative and treatment team, to ensure the implementation and integration of the person-centered treatment plan. This position will function in a supervisory role, providing direct oversight to Behavioral Health Technicians, monitor client experience, and seamlessly integrates client needs into their stay in the residential treatment program.
- Under the immediate supervision of the Executive Director, The Behavioral Health Technician Manager will be responsible for the direct oversight of the Behavioral Health Technicians, addressing both client and employee needs.

Job Qualifications:
- 3 Years Management experience required.
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 1 year experience in Behavioral Health preferred.
- An ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and utilize effective communication skills, including both telephone and in-person.
- Positive demeanor and clear understanding of professional boundaries with clients.
- Understanding or Behavioral Health and substance use disorders, preferred.
- Ability to follow directives explicitly, adhere to facility policies, provide client-driven customer service, and exercise time management skills.
- Scheduling flexibility, holiday, and weekend rotation is REQUIRED.
- Must hold valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and provide own insured transportation
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistent, daily, APPROPRIATE engagement with clients, providing support through implementation of the treatment plan.
- Uses EMR to accurately document ALL engagements with clients in treatment with concise, fluid communication in the electronic chart.
- Updates the bed grid according to intake and room changes.
- Completes team assignment sheets and assigns accordingly per shift.
- Ensures all clients attend individual and group treatment sessions and follows daily order of events.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of client information and records without exception per HIPAA guidelines.
- Clarity surrounding cultural sensitivity and professional boundaries.
- Attend all staff meetings and trainings as directed by Executive Director.
- Reports safety hazards immediately and works continuously to maintain the cleanliness and functional order of the Milieu.
- Participates in performance improvement activities, including completing competency reviews and training.
- Practices infection control including use of PPE and proper hand hygiene.
- Provides job-specific training for new hires and ongoing to ensure processes and procedures in the Behavioral Health Procedural Manual are followed.
- Creates monthly calendar to include Holiday requirements and allow for team signup before scheduling assignments.
- Schedules employees and ensures coverage on all shifts while adhering to labor hours budgeted. Including assigned Holidays and time off requests, and on-call assignments.
- Participates in the recruitment and selection of potential new hires.
- Completes all team disciplinary actions, and member communications for corrective actions.
- Holds daily, weekly, monthly leadership meetings.
- Coordinates weekend and evening BHT-led activities to complement the clinical program schedule.
- Audits the EMR to ensure timely and accurate BHT documentation. Ensure shift notes are complete and efficient quality.
- Initial Comprehensive ROI contact.
- Sort and File/deliver non-compliance client reviews daily.
- Makes frequent rounds of the milieu and documents client non-compliance.
