About the Role:
- The Clinical Director (CD), is a lead management member of the treatment team, functioning as the primary facilitator for all clients on the continuum between admission and discharge. The CD monitors the progress of the treatment plan and delegates the plan for clinical engagement by the team.
- Under the immediate supervision of the Executive Director, the Clinical Director is responsible for each component of the client’s treatment planning, including all programmatic implementation.

Job Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in a Behavioral Health discipline, with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience. An active, unrestricted, clinical license is required.
- The ability to prioritize and multi-task, with exceptional time management skills. Ability to competently encourage and inspire direct reports in the delivery of stellar clinical services through professionalism. Demonstration of a client-centered team approach, with advanced computer skills.
- Scheduling flexibility REQUIRED to accommodate varied client admissions.
- Must hold a valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and provide own insured transportation
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains adherence to HIPAA compliance in ALL communication regarding clients. Competency in usage of DSM-V.
- Fundamental knowledge of pre-authorizations during admission with ability to provide clinical report to insurance as needed.
- New Hire orientation, and introduction of the clinical department for all new staff.
- Answers all inquiries regarding treatment and programming.
- Provides supervision to Therapists & Clinical Manager, conducts interviews, and recommends prospective staff, completes corrective action summaries, recommends disciplinary action.
- Conduct competency reviews and training, and routine performance improvement evaluations. Including job specific training.
- Audits EMR system for all clients to ensure prompt and accurate documentation is completed.
- Adhere to Medicaid and DMHA guidelines for all programming requirements.
- Complete and assign all on-call rotations, and holiday/PTO assignment schedules for full clinical team.
- Provides monthly in-service staff trainings, including treatment team, joint commission requirement meetings.
- Complete competency reviews and training, in addition to routine performance reviews.
- Documents sessions with all clients, processes discharge as needed.
- Cultural sensitivity and ethical treatment of all clients.
- Hold process group two times a week with current client case load.
- Professional boundaries, appearance, demeanor, and effective communication.
- All duties and responsibilities assigned to therapists, including case load, minimum 5-8.
- Audit Therapy notes daily and conduct weekly supervision to therapists per agreement.
- Per agreement, review and sign Bios, treatment plans, therapy progress notes, etc., and ensure documentation is accurate and complete.
