Position Overview
The Executive Director is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the facility. This includes managing staff performance, ensuring high-quality patient care, driving census growth, and maintaining compliance with state, federal, and accreditation regulations. The Executive Director ensures effective administrative, clinical, and financial operations, creating a culture that supports the mission and values of Hickory Recovery Network.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead operational management of all clinical and non-clinical departments including Nursing, Admissions, Quality Improvement, Finance, Clinical Services, and Regulatory Affairs.
• Create a culture that reflects Hickory’s mission, vision, and values.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory agencies.
• Oversee development and implementation of outpatient and ambulatory care programs.
• Build strong relationships with community partners, healthcare providers, local government, and referral sources.
• Ensure accurate and timely submission of monthly financial and operational reports.
• Contribute to corporate strategic planning and census-building initiatives.
• Monitor and control operational costs through staffing, supplies, and vendor management.
• Lead recruitment, development, and retention efforts for facility leadership and staff.
• Foster an environment of continuous performance improvement and patient-centered care.
• Ensure staff are trained, credentialed, and operate under best clinical and administrative practices.
• Support safety initiatives and ensure proper response to facility emergencies and hazards.
• Report to Regional Director of Operations and collaborate with corporate leadership as needed.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Experience in behavioral healthcare leadership (i.e., Executive Director or Administrator).
• Working knowledge of behavioral health operations and treatment methodologies.
• Strong financial and budget management experience.
• Impeccable ethics, integrity, and leadership presence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be CPR and CPI certified (or complete within 30 days of hire).
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Schedule flexibility is required, including potential evening/weekend availability.
Compensation
• $90,000 - $115,000 per year
