About the Role:
- The Associate Attorney will work under the supervision of In-House Counsel and will be responsible for researching all licensing requirements, operational regulations, accreditation standards, and contract negotiations related to insurance/reimbursement compliance and development. The Legal Associate may also form and manage organization entities and assist with asset or real estate purchase, sale, or loan transactions, as well as other company and department needs from time to time.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum required JD law degree from accredited law school.
- 1-2 years of legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience preferring corporate transactions, compliance, or regulatory focus also desirable.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- Legal research and contract development skills required.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, Medicare requirements, healthcare accreditation and/or insurance contracts and negotiations preferred.
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Must exercise the highest level of confidentiality and integrity.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Must be detail-oriented, possess a high degree of accuracy and work well under pressure.
- Must be organized, and good work ethic.
- Maintain impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently.
- MUST be able to work in office environment as primary work location.
- MUST have ability to maintain focus and work under the direction of a remote supervisor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research license requirements and actions required for accreditation.
- Research insurance requirements and contractual needs for reimbursement.
- Prepare, review, and maintain written legal documents as requested.
- Research and communicate contract negotiations as requested.
- Prepare written contracts as needed.
- Demonstrate effective and accurate legal research as needed.
- Effectively communicate with senior management.
- Adherence to company policy and procedures, State & Federal law, and license accreditation regulations and standards
Compensation: $60,000-$80,000/yr
Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
