Proposal Strategy Analyst

Job Title: Proposal Strategy Analyst

Job Overview: We are seeking a Proposal Strategy Analyst to play an important role in driving the strategic approach to pricing for HICO America products. This position involves analyzing market price trends and internal cost trends to ensure proposals remain competitive. The primary focus will be on HICO Transformer products, with potential involvement in other HICO equipment. The Proposal Strategy Analyst reports to the Manager of Proposal Strategy and works closely with the Sales Team, supporting business functions to assist with pricing support for HICO products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day commercial aspects at the bid stage, particularly within the HICO transformer product line. This role also involves maintaining and expanding relationships with HICO sales representatives and internal teams, all with the goal of driving sales revenue and profitability. The ideal candidate will possess an entrepreneurial mindset and thrive in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with various internal and external teams to deliver innovative solutions to the power industry.

Key Responsibilities:

· Management of the sales quotation process with emphasis on competitive and informed pricing levels

· Supporting RFQs, RFIs, Proposal preparation and delivery from a commercial standpoint

· Pricing and Bidding:

o Generating quotes for HICO products from three factories (US, Korea, China)

o Communicate regularly with HICO and factories to ensure each bid progresses smoothly

o Collaborate with Design and Production Teams to ensure timely delivery of competitive pricing / securing production slots

o Provide review contracts, specifications, and purchase orders to confirm alignment with bid details

o Review /approve bids and orders within organizational systems

· Order and Contract Management:

o Support adjustments to existing orders

o Assist with project functions, including schedule changes, submittals and issue resolution / coordination with Sales and Project Managers

o optimize order efficiency across factories

· Sales and Coordination:

o Provide support to sales teams with proposal preparation, follow-ups, and report preparation for interim management in the US, China, and Korea.

o Coordinate communication between factories and internal teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely updates.

· Logistics and Shipping Management:

o Request and track expected shipping dates of equipment from foreign facilities and share details with the internal Purchasing Team for inland transportation.

o Assisting in the booking process for ocean

o Providing updates to Project Managers

o Qualifications:

· Proven experience in proposal strategy, pricing, or related roles within the power industry or technical products sector

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, sales representatives, and customers

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively

· Experience with ERP systems and project management tools

· Knowledge of international shipping processes and logistics is a plus

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
