Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our Service Operations group. This position will improve the efficiency of operations and enhance service capabilities by driving continual improvement initiatives.
Location : This position is onsite in our East Syracuse, NY office.
Responsibilities :
An Industrial Engineer at Hidden Level is a dynamic, project-focused role. In this role, you can expect to :
- Support the Service Operations group in the delivery of essential Hidden Level services. Service areas include :
Hardware deployment and field operations
Technical support servicesDepot / repair operationsAnalyze and improve processes to streamline service delivery and reduce wasteGenerate technical documentation including work instructions, service manuals, and training materials to be used by internal and external service representatives towards the execution of service activities.Analyze operational data, develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and identify trends to assess opportunities for operational improvements and monitor results of operational changes.Help to design, test, and implement new service delivery models or systemsWork with Engineering Development teams to transfer knowledge and capabilities to the Service Operation Group. Such transitions may include details pertinent to the deployment and support of new sensor types or implementation of new sensing modalities on existing hardware.Act as administrator for software tools used by the Service Operations GroupRepresent the Service Operations and Group on our Non-Conforming Material Review Board to correct issues detected in fielded assets and prevent recurrence.Support project managers in the execution of system installation projects by contributing to site installation designs. E.g. selection of COTs hardware components such as PoE injectors, SFP modules, media converters, and ethernet extendersWhat We’re Looking For :
A keen ability to detect process bottlenecks and inefficiencies and simplify or optimize forcontinual improvement.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and metrics to make informed decisionsAbility to lead continual improvement projects, effectively leveraging resources from production, supply chain, and engineering groups as required.Experience in service operations of distributed electronic systems.Technical competency to drive the implementation of new service solutions and systems. New solutions may be a combination of software, hardware, and process based.Experience generating and maintaining technical documentation.Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline5 years of experience, with 2 years of experience in service operations support or continual improvementBroad exposure to various engineering disciplines including software, hardware, mechanical, network, and manufacturingExperience coordinating cross-functional projects related to continual process improvementExperience in systemic problem solving and associated techniques and methodologiesOccasional travel up to 10% may be requested to support meeting with external field service representative teams, and observation of field operations for process analysis or vetting of new solutionsPreferred Qualifications :
Experience working in the production or support of RF sensorsExperience in depot or maintenance operationsContinual improvement certification such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or applied use of Lean Six Sigma principles and methodsExperience reviewing and interpreting engineering diagrams and / or construction drawingsCompensation and Benefits : Hidden Level offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid parental leave, flexible time off, 401(k) with employer contributions, life insurance, disability insurance, and potential stock options.
Salary Range : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $95,000 to $115,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
