Position Overview :

Hidden Level is transforming airspace safety with innovative, scalable drone detection and airspace technology. We provide real-time, actionable data to enhance security across various environments. As we expand, we're looking for a Sr. Electrical Engineer - Digital Hardware who will apply their skills and experience to lead the design of custom hardware and firmware for cutting-edge sensor and communication systems.

Responsibilities :

• Define custom multi-layer PCB architectures and perform part selection, schematic design, and aid in layout activities
• Maintain component libraries and create new parts for schematic capture
• Perform PCB power and signal integrity simulations on high-speed memory and other critical interfaces
• Perform functional test and verification activities for new hardware and aid in production transition and support
• Work closely with board houses and other vendors to ensure successful fabrication and assembly of designs
• Architect and design HDL solutions for the latest Xilinx FPGAs and SoC devices such as Ultrascale and RFSoCs
• Create and implement HDL components for data acquisition, digital signal processing, command and control, external hardware interfaces, high-speed communication protocols such as Ethernet and PCIe, and more
• Perform timing closure and create well constrained, maintainable solutions that are easily extensible and employ an efficient use of resources
• Use scripting languages such as Python and Bash to automate and improve workflows
• Perform integration and test of hardware and HDL designs at subsystem and system levels
• Provide information in support of project planning, execution, and oversight

This position is located in the Syracuse, NY office with the potential for hybrid arrangements.

Salary Range : The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $109,000 to $133,000 annually. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Hidden Level considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education / training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
