About:

Hidden Paradise is Idaho’s first medically accessible and adaptable camp property, which is a welcoming space designed specifically for guests with medical needs to securely connect with nature and each other.

Hidden Paradise is owned by and home to Camp Rainbow Gold, an independent nonprofit serving Idaho children diagnosed with cancer and their families. Hidden Paradise also welcomes other nonprofit organizations, programs, and retreats serving those with medical, physical, emotional, or mental health challenges as well as family and corporate retreats.

Job Description:

Landscape Maintenance reports to the Director of Operations and completes a variety of tasks to achieve a functional, safe, and pleasant outdoor area. This will include caring for lawns, trees, gardens, weed control, and associated equipment maintenance. Other tasks may include pond and waterway care, outdoor maintenance of buildings, decks, picnic tables, stairs, and benches.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintains high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety of all facilities
• Grounds and building support including outdoor building maintenance
• Mowing, edging and fertilizing lawns
• Weeding and mulching landscape beds
• Controlling weeds on bike trails
• Trimming trees, hedges, and shrubs
• Removing unwanted small dead and damaged trees
• Planting shrubs, flowers, and trees
• Watering gardens, lawns, and landscapes
• Pond and waterway care
• Monitoring and maintaining plant health
• Maintaining landscaping equipment
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned

• May 1 – September 15, 2025

Qualifications:

• Desire to work in the support camp operations
• Ability to maintain a positive and cheerful attitude
• Desire to help and serve others
• Must be at least 17 years of age
• Must have the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds including lifting supplies and equipment as needed
• Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive background check
• Must have own transportation and/or be willing to accept housing on location
• Previous experience in landscape maintenance and equipment
• Previous experience in landscape equipment maintenance
• Previous experience in painting and weatherproofing (decks, picnic tables and benches)
• Ability to safely operate all equipment used in landscaping

Compensation:

The pay scale for this position is $20 per hour living off-site/ $18 per hour with on-site housing.
