What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse - RN, LPN position at Hidden River Eating Disorder Treatment?
We are seeking nurses who desire to work within our residential treatment center. The ideal candidates would preferably, yet not necessarily, have a working knowledge of eating disorders and related psychiatric and medical treatment interventions.
Schedule:
- Full-Time Saturday, Sunday and 1 Additional Weekday
Nurse Responsibilities:
- Complete nursing assessment and nursing plan of care upon admission
- Complete weekly nursing assignments and pain assessment
- Administer all medications
- Work closely with the Medical and Psychiatric provider in carrying out all orders
- Schedule appropriate appointments (e.g., lab, radiology, bone density) for the patients
- Evaluate all weekly lab results and communicate them to Medical/Psychiatric provider
- Work closely with the clinical team in implementing treatment interventions
- Provide meal support to patients.
- Provide psychiatric support
- Converse with family members
- Maintain timely documentation within the EMR
- Dispense medication according to sound practices
- Communicate in real time with various department personnel
- Maintain a positive team atmosphere and approach within the treatment setting
Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey RN or LPN state license
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; ADN, BSN or AAS degree is preferred
- Previous experience in behavioral health, eating disorders and working with adolescent populations is preferred
- Ability to facilitate a calm demeanor within the milieu
- Current BLS certification
Pay:
- LPN $35.00 - $39.00 per hour
- RN $41.00-$45.00 per hour
