Key Responsibilities
β CNC Programming: Create and optimize CNC programs using G-code and CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, EspritCAM, SolidWorks, Autodesk Fusion 360, Bobcad, GibbsCAM) from blueprints and 3D CAD models.
β Machine Setup & Operation: Program and configure advanced CNC machines, including Okuma, Makino, DMG MORI, and DN Solutions.
β CNC Controls: Work with FANUC, Okuma OSP, Pro 5/6, and Siemens control systems.
β Tool & Parameter Selection: Determine the best cutting tools, feed rates, and spindle speeds to maximize precision and efficiency.
β Blueprint Interpretation: Use GD&T, CAD/CAM files, and design specifications to ensure accurate machining.
β Setup Sheets & Training: Document setup processes and train CNC machine operators.
β Quality Control & Adjustments: Monitor machining operations, adjust for tool wear, and troubleshoot any issues.
β Material Loading & Tool Setup: Prepare raw materials and configure tooling for production runs.
β Precision Measurement: Maintain tight tolerances down to .0005β using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gage blocks.
β Safety & Compliance: Follow all company and industry safety standards to maintain a clean, secure work environment.
Qualifications
πΉ Technical Skills: Strong mathematical ability, blueprint reading, GD&T knowledge, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and teamwork.
πΉ Education: Preferred background in vocational school, apprenticeship, or an associateβs degree in Machine Tool Technology.
πΉ CAD/CAM Proficiency: Experience with Esprit, MasterCAM, Autodesk Fusion, or similar software.
πΉ CNC Controls: Experience with Fanuc, OSP, or Siemens controls is a plus!
πΉ Machining Centers: Required experience programming and setting up 3-4 axis machining centers (5-axis experience is a bonus!).
πΉ Multitasking Machines: Experience with mill-turn machines (Okuma Multus, Mazak Integrex, Mori NT/NTX/CTX) is a plus!
πΉ Twin-Turret/Twin-Spindle Lathes: Experience setting up these lathes with bar feeders is a plus!
Compensation & Benefits
