What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Counselor position at Hideaway Day Camp?
Hideaway Day Camp is looking for camp counselors to work 8 weeks this summer, M-F, June 16th to August 8th. We will be closed on July 4th. Hours are 8:30am to 4:00pm.
Counselors should be certified teachers or mature college students majoring in elementary/secondary education, counseling, psychology or other four-year program.
Criminal Records check and Child Abuse Clearances required.
Counselors will head a group of campers, taking them through various planned activities (six, 40-minute periods/day) with the help of our specialists. Activities include: swimming, canoeing and fishing, drama, arts and crafts, sports, high and low ropes course, rock climbing, gaga and many others. Our facility is situated on 72 beautiful acres near Valley Forge, on the Skippack Creek!
