Job purpose
As the Sales & Marketing Assistant at Hidrostal North America, you will be an integral part of our marketing team, assisting in the planning and execution of various marketing initiatives. Your responsibilities will include event planning, social media management, and support for marketing collateral creation. You will work closely with the sales team to ensure the successful implementation of marketing campaigns and events.
Duties and Main Responsibilities
Sales Administrative Support:
- Shared inbox management, including contacting customer for additional information.
- Creating opportunities in CRM for Sales Engineer to process
- Following up with customers on open quotations
- Processing customer purchase orders
Content Creation and Management:
- Assisting in the creation of marketing content, including blog posts, social media updates, and email campaigns.
- Proofreading and editing marketing materials for accuracy and consistency.
- Managing and updating content on the company website and social media platforms.
Social Media Management:
- Managing and scheduling social media posts and updates.
- Monitoring social media channels for engagement, comments, and messages.
- Responding to customer inquiries and comments on social media platforms.
Email Marketing:
- Assisting in the creation and execution of email marketing campaigns.
- Managing email lists and segmentation.
- Tracking email campaign performance and reporting results.
Design and Visual Content:
- Collaborating with graphic designers to create marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and promotional materials.
- Ensuring brand consistency in all marketing materials
Customer Support:
- Providing support to customers or clients who have inquiries related to marketing promotions or products.
- Processing customer purchase orders for the internal sales team as needed.
Reporting and Analytics:
- Gathering data and compiling reports on marketing campaign performance.
- Analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
- Making data-driven recommendations for marketing strategy improvements.
Collateral Management:
- Maintaining an inventory of marketing collateral, such as brochures, white papers, and promotional items.
- Ordering and restocking marketing materials as needed.
Coordination with Vendors and Suppliers:
- Liaising with external vendors, printers, and suppliers for marketing materials and services.
- Ensuring timely delivery and quality of products and services.
Budget Tracking:
- Assisting in managing the marketing budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness in marketing initiatives.
Market Communications:
- Ensuring effective communication within the sales team and other departments to facilitate marketing projects and campaigns.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum High School Diploma and a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- Basic marketing Concepts: An understanding of the fundamentals of marketing principles, including target audience, branding, and advertising.
- Digital marketing Awareness: Familiarity with digital marketing channels and tools, such as Buffer, Hubspot, LinkedIn and more.
- Market Research Skills: Basic skills in conducting market research, competitor analysis, and gathering data can be valuable.
- Adaptability: Ability to handle varying work schedules and assignments, with a keen willingness to learn and perform a variety of job duties.
- Computer Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in computer skills, including MRP/ERP systems, basic computer navigation for online training, daily time recording, and email, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Customer Service Orientation: Commitment to providing excellent customer service when dealing with clients or visitors.
- Strong Organizational Skills: Exceptional ability to organize and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, especially when handling documents, data, and correspondence.

Working conditions
This position will primarily be office-based, with occasional visits to the workshop. While performing job duties, you may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and other typical shop floor conditions. The noise level in the work environment is typical for a manufacturing environment but may require ear protection at times. Protective eyewear and appropriate clothing and shoes for a typical shop floor environment may also be required.
Physical requirements
In the performance of your duties, you will be required to talk, stand, see, and hear regularly. This position is physically active and may involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing at times. Specific vision abilities needed for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
